Abstract

One of the most important issues discussed in the interpretive principles and foundations of the commentators is the validity of interpretative narratives in expressing the divine purpose of the verses of the Qur’an. Some scholars and commentators such as Allameh Tabataba’i, the great Imamian contemporary commentator, believe that Interpretative narratives are not valid on non-fiqh verses. His reason is also the lack of credibility of suspicion in impractical topics. In such a way that it is not possible to use the single news that does not have the same credit, in the interpretation of non-fiqh verses, and if news is used in fiqh fields, it is because of necessity to follow the rulings. But such a necessity does not exist in the non-fiqh cases, and there should only be certainty, and the news is uncertain. In contrast, famous supporters of the authority of the interpretive narratives, rely on the construction of the intellect and the no difference between fiqh and non-fiqh in validating the single news. The lack of religious law for the single news in the field of non-fiqh is one of the other problems that Allameh Tabataba’i believes in the validity of interpretive narratives, which can be cited in the answer to the existence of a religious effect in discoveries of news from the happenings or developmental effects. Accordingly, the great source of non-fiqh narratives will have an effective contribution to the interpretation process.
