The comparative study of the theology of Rene Descarte and Allameh Tabatabaei

Abstract

One of the philosophical issues, which has been discussed throughout history, is the proof of God. In the West and the East, philosophers have presented various arguments to prove the existence of God. In this paper, we have tried to study the theological doctrines from the perspective of two prominent philosophers from the East and West, Allameh Tabatabai and Rene Descartes, in a comparative way. Rene Descartes, who, with his coming to Western philosophy, found a fundamental transformation, his main concern was a certainty. To ensure such a cognition, Descartes condemns the existence of God. Hence, he has tried to prove the existence of God and, for this purpose, has used two inventive and existential arguments.
Allamah Tabatabai also has proved by God with various arguments, including the proof of nature and the truth and the proof of God, and the most reliable of these is the proof of the proofs. In the history of Eastern philosophy, Sedghigh's argument passed its evolutionary development until it reached its final stage in the time of Allamah Tabatabai. His presentation is a special and ingenious verdict of the faithful, since he does not rely on any prelude to philosophical preconditions.
With a small amount of reflection on the issue of proving the existence of God, between the arguments of Descartes and the arguments of Allamah Tabatabai, there is a kind of symbiosis that has been discussed in this article.
